Loid Forger

Loid Forger looks like an ordinary psychiatrist in the city of Berlint, but his real name and real job are both secrets. He is actually a spy for Westalis, known by the code name "Twilight," and his psychiatry practice is just a cover for a mission called Operation Strix.

Loid lost his mother and close friends during a past war, an experience that pushed him toward intelligence work and shaped his cold, calculating approach to most problems. He was trained in spycraft by a handler named Sylvia Sherwood, and by the time Operation Strix begins, he is already a master of disguise and quick thinking.

To get close to his target, Loid adopts an orphan named Anya and enters a marriage of convenience with Yor Forger, treating both relationships at first as useful tools for his mission. Slowly, though, genuine affection creeps into what started as an act, and he begins to care about his fake family as if it were real. Because his mission depends on Anya staying close to her classmate Damian Desmond, Loid often finds himself quietly managing his daughter's friendships as carefully as his cover identity. He also trains a fellow agent, Nightfall, who works alongside him at the hospital. Underneath the practiced smiles and perfect manners, Loid remains someone still learning how to let people matter to him.
