Becky Blackbell

Becky Blackbell is a student at Eden Academy and the daughter of the CEO of a major weapons manufacturer, which means she grows up with more wealth and attention than almost anyone else her age. Her father spoils her, and a devoted butler, Martha Marriott, looks after most of her daily needs.

Despite her comfortable life, Becky tries hard to act mature and grown-up, which comes partly from insecurity rather than real confidence. When she first meets Anya Forger, she sees herself more as Anya's caretaker than her friend, almost like an adult looking after a child. Anya's genuine, confident smile slowly wins her over, though, and Becky realizes she wants a real friendship rather than just a role to perform, which becomes one of the most important bonds in her life.

Becky also develops a crush on Anya's father, Loid Forger, and initially sees Loid's wife, Yor, as a rival for his attention. Even so, she comes to respect Yor's quiet strength and even trains in martial arts with her. During a dangerous hijacking, Becky's quick thinking in alerting the police to the attackers' plans earns her a Stella Star, a rare mark of honor, proving that there is real courage behind her polished, privileged exterior.
