Elizabeth Liones

Elizabeth Liones grows up as the third princess of the kingdom of Liones, adopted and raised by King Bartra after apparently surviving the destruction of her birth home. She comes across as gentle, easily fooled, and not much of a fighter, but she is also remarkably brave, willing to put herself in harm's way without hesitation to protect the people she cares about.

When the kingdom's own Holy Knights stage a rebellion, Elizabeth sets out to find the Seven Deadly Sins, a group of knights wrongly blamed years earlier for a plot against the throne. She ends up working as a waitress at Meliodas's traveling bar, the Boar Hat, and slowly falls in love with him, not yet realizing their connection runs far deeper than either of them first understood.

In truth, Elizabeth is the newest body of the goddess Elizabeth, reborn again and again over thousands of years, cursed to die within days of recovering her memories and divine power each time she returns. Her tears carry a healing power that becomes important again and again to the story, and her role gradually grows from a sheltered bystander into someone whose choices decide the fate of entire kingdoms. She shares a close friendship with Diane, and after the demon king's defeat, Elizabeth eventually succeeds her father as queen of Liones, ruling at Meliodas's side.
