Kimi to Boku no Saigo no Senjou, Arui wa Sekai ga Hajimaru Seisen Season Ⅲ

Fans of Iska and Alice got good news in October 2026. At the Fantasia Bunko Grand Thanksgiving Festival 2026 Online, a yearly event held by the light novel publisher Fujimi Shobo, a new anime season of Our Last Crusade or the Rise of a New World was revealed. The team said that the voice cast and the staff from the earlier seasons will come back. At the time of the news, no air date, studio name, or episode count had been shared, so the release window is still unknown.

The anime is based on a light novel series by writer Kei Sazane and artist Ao Nekonabe. A light novel is a Japanese novel with some pictures, often for young adults. The books began in 2017, and Yen Press publishes them in English. The first anime season, made by Silver Link, had 12 episodes and aired from October to December 2020. The second season also had 12 episodes. It began in July 2024, stopped for many months because of delays, and finally ended in June 2025.

The world of the story is split by a war that has lasted about a hundred years. The Heavenly Empire uses machines and guns. The Nebulis Sovereignty is a country of people with magic, which the Empire calls witches. Iska is an expert swordsman from the Empire. His swords can cut through magic. Alice, whose full name is Aliceliese Lou Nebulis IX, is a princess of Nebulis with very strong ice magic. The two met as enemies on the battlefield, but they found out that both of them want the war to stop. Since then, they have become close, even though they must keep it secret.

The earlier seasons also built up a large group of friends and rivals. Iska fights with the 907th Unit: captain Mismis, the sniper Jhin, and the mechanic Nene. Alice is protected by her maid Rin. Alice's younger sister Sisbell can see events from the past with her special power, and she trusts Iska because he once saved her. Inside the Nebulis royal family, different houses compete for the throne, and some of them use secret plots.

The new season is expected to keep telling this story of a forbidden friendship and romance between two enemies, mixed with magic fights and court politics. The author has said the novels are moving toward their final battle, so fans hope the anime will get closer to the end of the war. This entry is best for viewers who have already seen the first two seasons. More details, like the premiere date, will likely come later from the official team.
