Subaru Awa

Subaru Awa plays drums in the band Togenashi Togeari in GIRLS BAND CRY. She comes from Kobe. She goes to an acting school because she wants to follow her grandmother, a famous actress named Tendou Awa. The truth is that Subaru has no real interest in acting. On the outside she looks polished and friendly, but she has a strong will and a competitive side.

Subaru wants to choose her own path, and she finds it in music. Playing drums gives her a way out of the future that her family expects from her.

She joins the band with Nina Iseri, Momoka Kawaragi, Tomo Ebizuka and Rupa. Each member has a different past, and Subaru's story shows how hard it can be to live up to a famous family name.
