Nina Iseri

Nina Iseri is the main character of GIRLS BAND CRY and the singer of the band Togenashi Togeari. She comes from Kumamoto in southern Japan. Her home life was hard, and she was bullied in the past. She left school and moved to the big city, telling herself that she can live on her own and study for the university entrance exam.

Nina is guarded and easily upset when she feels that people look down on her. Music is what held her together in bad times. She is a huge fan of the idol rock band Diamond Dust, and their songs gave her strength.

Her life changes when she meets Momoka Kawaragi, a street musician who once played in Diamond Dust. Momoka had thought about giving up music, but Nina's strong will pushed her to try again. Together they form a band with other girls from different backgrounds, including Subaru Awa, Tomo Ebizuka and Rupa. Through the band, Nina slowly learns to open up and to sing about her own feelings.
