GIRLS BAND CRY THE MOVIE

Girls Band Cry The Movie is an all-new film in the Girls Band Cry series. It is not a recap. The studio first made two compilation films in 2025 that retell the TV story. This movie is a different project. It was announced as a fresh production that continues the story of the band after the TV show.

The TV series was made by Toei Animation and aired in Japan in 2024. It follows Nina Iseri, a young woman who left high school and moved to the city of Kawasaki, near Tokyo. There she meets the guitarist Momoka Kawaragi, and together they start a rock band called Togenashi Togeari. The other members are Subaru Awa on drums, Tomo Ebizuka on keyboards, and Rupa on bass. The film brings back these five main characters.

The story of the movie has not been shared in detail. We know it is a new film and not a summary of old episodes, but the plot has not been fully revealed. For that reason, this page does not describe what happens in it. Please check the official Girls Band Cry website for news about the date and the story.

Fans can expect the same style as the series. That means a serious drama about young musicians, a loud rock sound, and 3D computer animation. The first show was known for its honest look at the hard parts of chasing a music dream, and for strong songs sung by the band. The genres are drama, music, and slice of life.
