Kana Minami

Kana is the second daughter in Minami-ke, a comedy about three sisters who live together. She goes to junior high. Kana is loud, quick to act, and rarely stops to plan. She makes up random holidays, and she drags her friends into her silly ideas.

School is hard for her, and she gets poor grades. She also sleeps in a lot, and her cooking is bad. She can say rude things by accident, but she means no harm. Her fun, bold nature drives many of the show's jokes.

Kana wants her younger sister Chiaki to think of her as a cute, caring big sister. Chiaki does not play along. She is clever and sharp-tongued, and she often fights with Kana. Their oldest sister, Haruka, looks after them both.
