Chiaki Minami

Chiaki is the youngest of the three Minami sisters in the comedy series Minami-ke. She is a student in elementary school. Chiaki is very smart, and she often thinks too hard about simple things. She is also cynical. Her way of talking sounds more like a grown man than a young girl, and her jokes can be sharp.

Even though she is the smallest sister, many fans see her as the meanest of the three. She often wins arguments against her middle sister Kana, and she treats Kana with a cold attitude. In group settings she is usually quiet.

Chiaki truly looks up to her oldest sister, Haruka. She is the only person Chiaki speaks to with polite words, and she calls Haruka by a more respectful word for older sister. Chiaki also sees Fujioka as a kind of father figure, and she treats a boy named Toma as a little brother because they share the same family name.
