MIYAVI's "Show Me All Your Pain" opens Wound & Bandage, as the main PV and key visual land ahead of January 9
The yakuza romcom's main PV previews MIYAVI's opening theme, while Shouta Kawaramori, Mamoru Fujiyoshida and narrator Tomokazu Sugita join the cast. The J.C.Staff series starts January 9, 2027 on AT-X, with ABEMA streaming it first online.
Guitarist MIYAVI is providing the opening theme for a yakuza romance. His song "Show Me All Your Pain" will open Wound & Bandage, and it can be heard in the main PV the anime's official site released on November 6, together with a new key visual and three more cast members.
It is the latest step in a steady run-up to the January premiere. A week earlier the site posted a third teaser, "Nakama," and added Yuka Iguchi and Yoko Hikasa to the cast, which we covered in our previous post on the series. This round fills out the supporting players: Shouta Kawaramori voices Kou Bonkobara and Mamoru Fujiyoshida voices Kengo Takanashi, while Tomokazu Sugita serves as the narrator. They join leads Chikahiro Kobayashi and Hisako Kanemoto, and Shoya Ishige, announced in October.
MIYAVI shares the song's credits with her0ism and Takayuki "Kojiro" Sasaki. His earlier anime work includes Kokkoku.
The full crew
The update also listed the staff in full. Miyuki Ishida, previously an assistant director, directs at J.C.Staff, and Susumu Yamakawa, the series composer of The Way of the Househusband, writes the scripts. Natsuki Ooyama adapts the character designs. KOHTA YAMAMOTO, known for 86, composes the music with Misaki Umase, and Magic Capsule handles sound production.
When it airs
The series starts on January 9, 2027, with AT-X carrying the first broadcast on Saturdays at 23:00. ABC TV and TV Asahi then air it nationwide in their ANiMAZiNG!!! block, and ABEMA has the earliest online stream, Saturdays at 26:30 JST. The official site also announced a special ABEMA program alongside the PV.
The anime adapts Nanai Umihoshi's manga, which began as a one-shot in Kodansha's Getsumaga Kichi in February 2024 before serialization started on Comic Days that August. Kodansha released its fifth volume on July 16.
