Wound & Bandage adds Yuka Iguchi and Yoko Hikasa with its third teaser, ahead of the January 9 premiere
J.C.Staff's yakuza romantic comedy revealed two more cast members, a third theme visual and the teaser PV "Nakama" on October 30. It starts January 9, 2027 with an AT-X advance broadcast before joining the ANiMAZiNG!!! block.
Two more names joined Wound & Bandage (Kizuguchi to Houtai) on October 30: Yuka Iguchi as Magical Penpengusa and Yoko Hikasa as Matsuda Emon. The official site paired the casting with a third theme visual and teaser PV, this one titled "Nakama" (comrades), and also announced a giveaway event for specially made tissue packs.
The reveal is part of a weekly drip. The first visual and PV, themed "Ai" (love), arrived on October 16 along with the two leads and the broadcast plan, and the second, "Heki" (fetish), came on October 23 with Shoya Ishige cast as Ginsuke Hatoba. When the campaign began, Famitsu reported that visuals and videos would keep coming for four consecutive weeks.
An obedient heiress with an unusual taste
The series is a romantic comedy set among the yakuza. Kiritani, a high-ranking gangster, is handed what looks like an easy job: minding Riyo Washizu, the daughter of the Washizu-gumi's grand chairman, who seems perfectly docile. Then he learns her secret. Riyo calls herself a "Yowaraa," someone who gets excited watching strong, tough people turn weak and helpless. Hisako Kanemoto voices Riyo, and Chikahiro Kobayashi plays Kiritani.
Who is making it, and when it airs
J.C.Staff animates the adaptation. Miyuki Ishida directs, Susumu Yamakawa handles series composition and scripts, and Natsuki Oyama is the character designer.
Japanese viewers can watch it first on AT-X, which has an advance broadcast on Saturday, January 9, 2027 at 11 p.m. Later that night the show airs at 26:00 (2 a.m. Sunday) in ABC and TV Asahi's ANiMAZiNG!!! slot, and ABEMA starts streaming it at 26:30. AT-X will also rerun episodes on Tuesday nights and Saturday mornings.
Nanai Umihoshi's manga began life as a one-shot in Kodansha's Getsumaga Kichi in February 2024 and became a series that August. Kodansha released its fifth collected volume on July 16.
