Jugram Haschwalth

Jugram Haschwalth stands as Yhwach's most trusted aide and leads the elite Quincy soldiers known as the Sternritter, within the army called the Wandenreich. His own power, nicknamed "The Balance," lets him absorb an opponent's misfortune and send it back at them, a rare and dangerous ability that sets him apart even among the Wandenreich's strongest fighters.

As a child, Haschwalth watched his uncle die in a forest fire that Yhwach himself had secretly set, a tragedy that pushed him and his childhood friend Bazz-B to train together with the shared goal of someday taking revenge. Yhwach, recognizing just how rare and valuable Haschwalth's power was, spared his life and brought him in as his closest advisor instead, a choice that permanently changed the direction of Haschwalth's life.

He stays calm and composed even when his fellow Sternritter openly object to a rival being named Yhwach's successor, and he later grows quietly suspicious of that rival's true loyalties. When Bazz-B eventually learns that Haschwalth knew the full cost of Yhwach's plans all along and said nothing, their old friendship turns bitter, ending with Haschwalth severing Bazz-B's arm in battle. In his final moments, though, Haschwalth makes one last choice that works against his master, using his own power to pull another fighter's wounds onto himself before he dies.
