Kisuke Urahara

Kisuke Urahara runs a small shop in Karakura Town. It is also a secret store for Soul Reapers, the spirit warriors of Bleach. Long ago, he was the captain of the 12th Division in Soul Society, the world where Soul Reapers live, and he was a brilliant scientist. He created a powerful and dangerous object called the Hogyoku, which can mix the powers of Soul Reapers and Hollows. After leaving Soul Society, he settled in the human world.

Urahara acts silly and relaxed. He jokes a lot and wears a bucket hat and wooden sandals, so people call him "Hat-and-Clogs." He speaks in a polite way but loves to tease. Behind the jokes, he is sharp, careful, and very smart. He almost always knows more than he says. He likes to plan things from the shadows and let others do the fighting. He is also a very strong fighter. One of his hobbies is building huge training rooms under the ground in secret.

He works with his helpers Tessai Tsukabishi, Jinta, and Ururu. His closest partner is Yoruichi Shihouin. Urahara takes a special interest in Ichigo Kurosaki. He trains Ichigo and gives him the tools and advice he needs to face stronger foes.
