BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War - The Calamity

The Calamity is the fourth and final part of Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War. It brings the long Bleach story to its end on screen. It began airing on July 25, 2026, with new episodes each Saturday, and it runs for 10 episodes, with the last airing in late September. Before the TV premiere, its first three episodes were shown in US movie theaters from June 25 to 29, 2026, both with subtitles and with an English dub. The part was animated by Pierrot Films and directed by Tomohisa Taguchi and Hikaru Murata. This is the very end of a big series, so it is only for viewers who have watched the parts before it.

Bleach was created by the manga artist Tite Kubo. It follows Ichigo Kurosaki, a teenager who can see ghosts. By the time The Calamity begins, the war has reached its most dangerous point. The fighting has spread even to the royal palace above Soul Society. The balance of all three worlds, the human world, Soul Society, and Hueco Mundo, is starting to break apart. The Thirteen Court Guard Squads and the elite Royal Guard are in desperate battles, and Yhwach's power has grown frightening. For Ichigo, one big question is his old friend and rival Uryu Ishida, a Quincy who seemed to switch sides. Ichigo finally learns what Uryu really planned, and he renews his promise to protect everyone with his friends at his side.

This part is packed with large-scale sword fights, flashy powers, and emotional moments for a huge cast. The Thousand-Year Blood War series has been praised for its bold visual style, strong music, and sharp action. For many fans, seeing the story finally finished in animation is a special event. The Calamity closes a story that began more than twenty years ago.
