Two episodes are all that remain of Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War, and the anime has released one last trailer to see them in. The "THE LAST" PV, out on October 16, spends its first half retracing the arc's road to the showdown between Ichigo Kurosaki and Yhwach, then turns to fighting spread across Soul Society's Seireitei, the World of the Living and Hueco Mundo, where Yhwach surfaced in episode 48, "THE END TWO WORLD."

Episode 49 airs at midnight on Monday, October 19, on TV Tokyo and its network, and episode 50, the finale, follows in the same slot on October 26. Both were originally due earlier: in September the production pushed the final pair back to October to improve their quality.

The end point is the fourth and final cour, The Calamity, which began on July 25 and runs ten episodes. It closes an adaptation of Tite Kubo's last manga arc that started in October 2022 and continued with The Separation in 2023 and The Conflict in 2024. Kubo has said this last part adds more original material than earlier ones to expand the manga's final battles, and he serves as the anime's supervisor. Pierrot Films animates, with Hikaru Murata directing under chief director Tomohisa Taguchi and Shiro Sagisu scoring.

The night before the finale, Japan gets a send-off event. On Sunday, October 25, United Cinemas Aqua City Odaiba screens episodes 41 to 49 back to back, then hosts a talk with Masakazu Morita (Ichigo), Noriaki Sugiyama (Uryu Ishida), Kubo and Murata, alongside the show's animation producer. Reserved seats cost 4,500 yen and come with a postcard, and the Ticket Pia lottery is accepting applications until 11:59 p.m. on October 18.

The manga behind it all ran in Weekly Shonen Jump between 2001 and 2016, filling 74 volumes, and has topped 130 million copies worldwide. Its first anime adaptation ran from 2004 until 2012, alongside four movies. Celebrations continue past the broadcast too, with a BLEACH FES featuring 15 voice actors already set for February 2027.
