About
Dr. STONE: SCIENCE FUTURE is the fourth and final season of the Dr. STONE anime from TMS Entertainment. It is directed by Shuhei Matsushita, with scripts by Kurasumi Sunayama. The season is split into three parts. The first part aired in Japan from January 9 to March 27, 2025, with 12 episodes. The story adapts the last part of the manga by Riichiro Inagaki and Boichi, which ended in Weekly Shonen Jump in 2022.
Some background helps. In this world, a strange green light turned every human into stone thousands of years ago. The young genius Senku Ishigami woke up first and started to rebuild human life from zero, using nothing but science. He gathered friends into a group called the Kingdom of Science. In earlier seasons, the team made fire, glass, medicine, phones, and even a large sailing ship. They also learned that the stone attack came from a mysterious enemy who calls itself Why-Man, and that its signal seems to come from the Moon.
This season starts the biggest goal of the whole story. To face Why-Man, Senku decides that humanity must fly into space. That means making a working rocket, starting in a world with no factories, no fuel, and very few people. The team needs huge amounts of materials and food, so they sail across the ocean to North America. There they plan to grow corn and set up a base. One of the people who returns to help is Tsukasa Shishio, the strong fighter who was once Senku's enemy. His return shows how far the story has come from its early battles.
In America, the crew learns that they are not the only awake people in the world. They meet Dr. Xeno, a brilliant scientist who was once Senku's teacher. Xeno has his own small army, led by the skilled soldier Stanley Snyder. Xeno also wants to rebuild the world with science, but his idea of how to rule it is very different from Senku's. This leads to a tense battle of two scientists, where each side uses clever inventions instead of only weapons. Episode titles like "Doctor vs. Doctor" and "The Two Scientists" show how central this clash is.
The main cast includes Senku, the brave warrior Kohaku, the curious young inventor Chrome, the smooth talker Gen Asagiri, the big-hearted Taiju Oki, and Ryusui Nanami, a rich captain who wants everything in the world. Each one has a clear job on the team, and much of the fun comes from watching them work together.
Like earlier seasons, Science Future mixes action, comedy, and real science lessons. It also has a feeling of a final journey: the team travels the whole planet, and the stakes keep rising. The second part followed in July 2025, and the final third part aired in spring 2026, bringing the long series to its end.
