Senkuu Ishigami

Senkuu is the teenage science genius at the center of Dr. STONE's story of rebuilding the world. When a strange light turns every human being to stone, he is one of the first to wake up thousands of years later, and he decides to bring science back from scratch instead of giving up. He takes charge of what becomes known as the Kingdom of Science, and later stands as one of the Five Wise Generals who lead the fight to save humanity.

Senkuu can seem cocky and blunt, but underneath that he is kind and fiercely loyal to the people around him. He truly believes that knowledge and invention can lift everyone up, not just himself, and he throws himself into every problem with total focus. His body is not very strong, and he openly admits he would lose a straight fight against a warrior like Kohaku. What makes him dangerous is his mind, not his muscles.

His closest bond is with Taiju Ooki, his best friend since childhood, who stays loyal to him no matter what happens. His adoptive father, Byakuya, raised him and is remembered as a legend in the village Senkuu later leads. Tsukasa Shishiou begins as his rival and nearly kills him, but the two eventually find an uneasy peace, while Chrome becomes his closest partner in rebuilding science from the ground up.
