Kohaku

Kohaku is the strongest fighter in Ishigami Village and one of the people Senkuu meets first after waking from thousands of years of being stone. She becomes a key member of the Power Team, the group that handles the Kingdom of Science's physical battles, and her speed and strength make her one of the few people who can stand up to real threats in a fight.

Underneath her tomboyish attitude, Kohaku is warm and protective of the people she cares about. She daydreams about romance more than she lets on, and she dotes on her younger villagemate Suika like a little sister. Her own older sister, Ruri, is the village's sickly priestess, and Kohaku's early drive to help Senkuu comes partly from wanting to find a cure for her.

One of the story's running jokes is that Kohaku agrees to a betrothal with Senkuu, even though he barely notices and cares only about his science. She goes along with it anyway, half out of genuine feeling and half because it amuses her. Despite the teasing tone, her loyalty to Senkuu and the village is never in doubt, and she fights every battle at the front line without hesitation.
