Inosuke Hashibira

Inosuke Hashibira grew up alone in the mountains, raised among wild boars after losing his real family as a small child. That upbringing left him wild and rough around the edges: he is short-tempered, loudly proud, and treats almost every meeting as a chance to prove how strong he is. He wears the skull of the boar that raised him as a mask, rarely showing his actual face to strangers.

Despite his rough manner, Inosuke turns out to be an extremely skilled fighter, wielding two jagged swords in a style built on raw instinct rather than formal training. He constantly tries to pick fights with Tanjiro Kamado, treating their friendship as an ongoing rivalry, though he usually loses. Having grown up with no human contact, he struggles to read normal social situations and often acts selfishly at first, but he slowly learns to work as part of a team alongside Tanjiro, Nezuko Kamado, and Zenitsu.

His path later connects to Kotoha, the human woman who actually raised him, whose death at the hands of an upper-rank demon gives Inosuke a personal reason to help bring that enemy down. Long after the main story, he settles down and marries a former bathhouse worker, a quiet ending for a character who started out as pure chaos.
