Takopi's Original Sin film trailer debuts Tele's new theme "Rabyu" ahead of its November 27 release

Tele, the singer-songwriter behind the streaming series' ending theme "Garasu no Sen," is back for the movie version of Takopi's Original Sin with a song written for it: "Rabyu" ("Love You"). It is heard for the first time in the main trailer for Takopi's Original Sin: Thank You, See You Tomorrow (Takopi no Genzai: Arigato, Mata Ashita), which reaches cinemas in Japan on November 27.

The film is not a new story. It cuts the 2025 show's full six-episode run together into a single feature and adds material that was not in the original, some of which turns up in the new trailer. Alongside it came a main visual drawn by character designer Keita Nagahara: the four children, Shizuka, Takopi, Marina and Naoki, gathered in their school classroom. Advance tickets went on sale in Japan on October 23.

The film reunites the people who made the series. Shinya Iino is director as well as series composer, ENISHIYA animates, and TBS Television produces. Kurumi Mamiya voices Takopi, Reina Ueda plays Shizuka Kuze, Konomi Kohara plays Marina Kirarazaka and Anna Nagase plays Naoki Azuma.

From two volumes to the big screen

Shueisha published Taizan 5's original comic on its Shonen Jump+ app, starting in December 2021 and wrapping up in March 2022, and the whole thing fits in two volumes; VIZ Media publishes it in English. It follows Takopi, a cheerful alien who arrives on Earth to spread happiness and befriends Shizuka, a lonely fourth grader. His gadgets and his attempts to rewind time to save her only lead to more harm.

The anime adaptation streamed in summer 2025. Outside Japan it is on Crunchyroll across North America, the British Isles, Australia, New Zealand and dozens more regions, and an English dub was added in January 2026.
