Noriaki Kakyouin

Noriaki Kakyoin is one of Jotaro Kujo's closest allies during Stardust Crusaders, the third arc of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. He first appears under the control of a flesh bud planted by Dio Brando, which forces him to attack Jotaro and his grandfather Joseph Joestar. Once freed from that control, he joins the group traveling to Egypt to stop Dio for good.

Calm, composed, and quick-thinking, Kakyoin often acts as a steady, serious counterpart to the more hot-headed members of the group. His Stand, a fighting spirit named Hierophant Green, can stretch long tentacles to grab or trap enemies, slip inside other people's minds to influence them, and fire a ranged attack called Emerald Splash. He becomes a trusted friend to Jean-Pierre Polnareff and Mohammed Avdol, standing by them even as the group's journey across Egypt grows more dangerous.

When the crusaders finally face Dio in his lair, Kakyoin is gravely wounded in the fight. With his last strength, he manages to pass on crucial information about how Dio's own Stand works, information that ends up helping Jotaro win the final battle. His sacrifice is one of the quiet, defining tragedies of Stardust Crusaders, showing the cost the group pays to finally end Dio's century-long reign of terror.
