Minami Nanami

Minami Nanami, nicknamed Mimimi, is a lively and well-liked classmate who trains in track and field with Aoi Hinami and sits near Fumiya Tomozaki in class. She always seems cheerful and full of life, cracking jokes and keeping the mood light wherever she goes.

Underneath that bubbly surface, though, Minami struggles with feeling like she is never quite good enough. No matter how hard she tries in school or in sports, she tends to finish just behind Aoi, which quietly wears on her confidence even though she rarely lets it show.

Minami is also stubborn in a good way; when she decides she wants something, like a friendship, she does not give up easily. That persistence is exactly how she becomes close with the shy, withdrawn Hanabi Natsubayashi, pushing past Hanabi's walls until the two become true friends. As Tomozaki starts changing under Aoi's guidance, Minami becomes one of the first people to genuinely welcome him into her circle, offering an easy kind of friendship that helps him practice being more open with others.
