Fuuka Kikuchi

Fuuka Kikuchi is a shy, book-loving classmate who often disappears into the school library during her free time. She dreams of becoming a novelist herself, and because of that, she enjoys thinking deeply about why people act the way they do, almost studying them the way she studies the characters in her favorite books. Her favorite writer has strongly shaped how she sees stories and people.

Fuuka is gentle and soft-spoken, often struggling to speak up in groups or stand out around her more outgoing classmates. She finds comfort in fiction partly because real conversations can feel overwhelming to her. When Fumiya Tomozaki, guided by his friend Aoi Hinami, starts spending time with Fuuka at the library, their shared love of books slowly turns into a real friendship.

As Tomozaki gets to know Fuuka for who she really is, rather than just approaching her as a practice exercise in socializing, their bond deepens into something more personal. Aoi notices this connection and sees Fuuka as someone genuinely compatible with Tomozaki, nudging the two of them closer together. Fuuka's quiet kindness and honesty end up playing an important part in helping Tomozaki open up emotionally, not just socially.
