Heiter

Heiter was the priest of the heroes who defeated the Demon King. He traveled for ten years with Himmel, Eisen, and Frieren, using holy magic to heal and protect them. He was known for loving strong drink, but underneath he was deeply kind and selfless.

After the quest ended and the group went their own ways, he came across a small girl named Fern. She had lost her parents in the fighting and was about to take her own life. He stopped her and brought her home. He raised her as his own child and taught her the basics of magic.

When Frieren came to see him, Heiter was already old and knew he did not have much time left. He asked her to take Fern as her student and look after her. Frieren agreed, and after Heiter died, Fern set out with her. Heiter's gentle care shapes who Fern becomes, and the old heroes remember him fondly as a good-hearted friend who put others first.
