Eisen

Eisen is one of the four heroes who beat the Demon King, together with Himmel, Heiter, and Frieren. He belongs to the dwarves, a people who live much longer than humans, though not as long as elves. He fought in front, taking hits for his friends so they could attack. By the time the main story begins, he has grown old.

He is quiet, calm, and practical, and he does not waste words. When Frieren asks him to come on her new journey north, he says no. His body is too old for such a long trip, and he would rather spend his last years in peace. Instead, he suggests that his pupil, the young fighter Stark, go with her in his place.

Eisen took Stark in after the boy fled from an attack on his home by demons. He trained him hard, and the lessons he gave shape how Stark fights and thinks long after they part. In flashbacks, Eisen is shown as a steady and loyal friend who kept the heroes safe through ten long years of travel.
