Garfiel Tinsel

Garfiel Tinsel once guarded the Sanctuary, a hidden village protected by magic, and spent years of his life devoted to keeping outsiders away from it. Underneath his rough, aggressive attitude toward strangers, Garfiel is driven by old fear rather than simple hostility: he watched someone he loved seem to die in front of him as a child, and the trauma left him terrified of the world beyond the Sanctuary's borders.

Garfiel's half-sister, Frederica, left him behind when he was still very young, and the two did not see each other again for ten years, until she returns during a major incident at the Sanctuary. That reunion forces Garfiel to confront feelings of abandonment he had buried for a decade.

When pushed to his limits in battle, Garfiel can transform into a massive golden tiger with incredible destructive power, though using this form costs him his ability to think clearly. After losing a hard fight and working through his painful past, Garfiel eventually chooses to join Emilia's side, turning his fierce loyalty from a single hidden village toward the people he comes to trust.
