Basen

Basen is a young attendant who serves Jinshi in The Apothecary Diaries. He is the second son of Gaoshun, Jinshi's loyal right-hand man, and he follows in his father's footsteps by working close to Jinshi.

Basen is known for being very straight-laced. He is serious, formal, and sticks firmly to the rules, much like his father. That stiff, earnest attitude makes him one of Jinshi's most dependable helpers, someone who can be trusted to carry out orders faithfully. Having grown up inside the world of palace service, he treats his loyalty to Jinshi as a big part of who he is.
