Mission: Yozakura Family Season 2

This is the second season of Mission: Yozakura Family, the anime based on Hitsuji Gondaira's spy comedy manga from Weekly Shonen Jump. Studio Silver Link returns to make it. The season is split into two parts. The first part aired from April to June 2026, and the second part starts in October 2026. It continues right after the 27-episode first season, so it is best to watch that first.

The story is about the Yozakura family, the top spy family in Japan, and Taiyo Asano, a once-shy boy who married into it. Taiyo married his childhood friend Mutsumi Yozakura, the gentle head of the family. At first he did it to stay safe from her jealous older brother, Kyoichiro. Over time, he has become a true member of the family. He now goes on missions with his new brothers and sisters, each of whom is an expert at something, from fighting to hacking to disguise.

At the start of this season, Taiyo and the family have taken down Tanpopo, the criminal group that caused so much pain in their lives. Tanpopo had tested dangerous experiments on children. One of those children is Ai, a six-year-old girl. The Yozakura family decides to take care of her, so the house gains a new small member. Watching Taiyo and the others act like parents and older siblings to Ai adds warm, funny family moments.

But there is a new problem, and it is inside Taiyo himself. Mutsumi's family blood has given him special powers. Those powers are strong, and he still cannot fully control them. Now they begin to make him sick. His health starts to get worse. Then Taiyo has a strange dream. In it, he meets Tsubomi Yozakura, the very first head of the family, from long ago. She gives him a shocking new mission: he must kill her. To understand what this means, Taiyo has to learn much more about the Yozakura family's history.

At the same time, Taiyo keeps working to grow as a spy. His goal is to reach the silver rank, a higher level for spies. He trains even harder, because he wants to protect Mutsumi, Ai, and everyone he now calls family.

This season keeps the mix that fans liked: wild action, big comedy, and a gentle love story. It also goes deeper into the family's secrets and the cost of their powers. The tone can be very silly one moment and serious the next. At its heart, it is still a story about a boy who once lost everyone, and who now fights to keep his new family together.
