Twisted-Wonderland's Savanaclaw arc reaches Disney+ on December 23, with eight weekly episodes
Season 2 of Disney Twisted-Wonderland The Animation, the Lion King-inspired Episode of Savanaclaw, streams exclusively on Disney+ from December 23, a Wednesday. A new key visual puts Yuuken Enma and Grim on guard.
Savanaclaw gets its turn two days before Christmas. Disney Twisted-Wonderland The Animation: Episode of Savanaclaw, the anime's second arc, begins streaming exclusively on Disney+ on Wednesday, December 23, and will release all eight of its episodes weekly on Wednesdays.
Disney+ Japan made the date official on Thursday, October 29, in a post on X that studio Yumeta Company echoed. With it came a new key visual: Yuuken Enma and Grim look tense and ready for trouble, surrounded by students from Heartslabyul, while the art hints that the Savanaclaw dorm is plotting something. A teaser trailer for the arc had already been released.
From Alice to The Lion King
Each season of the anime takes its name from one of the story's arcs. Season 1, Episode of Heartslabyul, drew on Alice in Wonderland and premiered on October 29, 2025, with eight episodes. Savanaclaw turns to The Lion King. A third season, Episode of Octavinelle, is also confirmed, and Anime Corner reports that the three seasons together adapt the material of the first three manga.
The first arc streams on Disney+ in the United States, Canada, the UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand and 55 more territories, and on Hulu in the US.
The team behind it
Yumeta Company and Graphinica share the animation. Shin Katagai directs under chief director Takahiro Natori, Yoichi Kato writes the scripts, and Hanaka Nakano and Akane Sato design the characters.
The source is the Disney Twisted-Wonderland game from Aniplex and Walt Disney Japan, which launched in Japan on March 18, 2020, and in English on January 20, 2022. Its character designs, concept and scenario are credited to Yana Toboso, the creator of Black Butler. The franchise's manga line has also moved on: the fourth adaptation, covering Episode of Scarabia, published its first volume on February 27.
