The Dangers in My Heart Season 3 will air in April 2027, and its teaser ends with Yamada announcing she and Kyotaro are dating
The third season of Norio Sakurai's romcom now has a broadcast window of April 2027. A teaser visual and teaser PV released on November 6 show Kyotaro and Anna as a couple, with Studio Shin-Ei returning to animate.
Two kids on a pair of swings, a park going orange at dusk: that is the new teaser visual for The Dangers in My Heart Season 3, and this time it comes with a date. The official anime site said on November 6 that the new season starts broadcasting in April 2027.
Until now the third season only had a year. It was announced in March 2026 for an unspecified point in 2027, so this is the first time it has a season to circle on the calendar. No exact day, broadcaster or streaming platform has been named yet.
A couple now, on screen
The teaser visual puts Kyotaro Ichikawa and Anna Yamada side by side on the swings, under a tagline that roughly translates to the start of a new world for Kyotaro. According to the official site, the image is meant to hint at where the pair stand now, since they finally became a couple in the final stretch of Season 2.
The accompanying teaser PV leans into that. It mixes comedy scenes with classmates such as Moeko Sekine, introduces Kyotaro's older sister Kana alongside Akira Momoyama, who plays in Kana's band, and gives brief looks at characters still to come. The last line belongs to Yamada, who tells everyone that she is going out with Kyotaro.
Studio Shin-Ei is once again producing the animation, Anime Corner reports.
Where the story stands
Norio Sakurai's manga is now complete. It started in 2018 in Akita Shoten's Weekly Shonen Champion before relocating to the publisher's Champion Cross website, where its last chapter went up on September 15, 2026. The 14th and final collected volume was released in Japan on November 6, the same day as the anime news, with a special edition bundling a roughly 200-page illustration book styled as Kyotaro's junior high graduation album. More than 7 million copies of the manga are in circulation, and Seven Seas Entertainment publishes it in English.
On screen, the first season ran for 12 episodes from April 2023, and the second followed with 13 episodes in January 2024; Anime Corner went on to name Season 2 its 2024 Anime of the Year. HIDIVE streamed both seasons outside Japan. A compilation film, The Dangers in My Heart: The Movie, opened in Japanese theaters on February 13, 2026, and a novel with four short stories, one of them set ten years in the future, came out on September 25, 2025.
With the manga finished, Season 3 is the first stretch of the anime to arrive after the source reached its ending. The premiere date and where it will stream have not yet been announced.
