Six cinemas, fourteen days and roughly sixty minutes of pole dancing: that is the shape of Pole Princess!! -Croix du Nord-, the next theatrical outing for the Tatsunoko Production franchise. The film opens in Japan on January 29, 2027 for a limited two-week engagement, and because it is billed as a special event screening, no advance tickets are being sold.

When the project was unveiled in April 2026, it was slated for autumn of that year; the January date pushes it into the new year.

A show built around the song album

Croix du Nord is presented as a CG show film. At its core are five numbers from the Shining Pole Song Album, released in February 2026, now staged inside a newly written story rather than performed as standalone routines.

That story picks up with Galaxy Princess, the four-girl team at the center of the series. Reigning champion Yukari Mikoshiro asks them to perform as guests at an event her own team, Aile d'Ange, is putting on. While the girls are spending time with the champions, a girl none of them recognizes turns up at the studio Azumi runs.

Separately, the film adds a newcomer to the cast: Ruchika Himeori, whose design comes from Tomari. Official materials describe her as "a girl who seems to have some deep connection to Azumi".

The same voices

All eight leads from the earlier anime movie come back. Saori Hayami, Rie Kugimiya and Yui Ogura are among them, alongside Rina Hidaka, Minami Hinata, Rio Tsuchiya, Yoshino Nanjou and Anna Suzuki.

Who is making it

Hitomi Ezoe directs for Tatsunoko, with Touko Machida supplying the screenplay. Yoshihiro Otobe serves as CG director, and Kenta Higashiohji writes the score. Avex Film Labels is distributing the film, while Avex Pictures oversees its music.

Where to see it

The six screens are Sapporo Cinema Frontier, T-Joy Hakata, Shinjuku Wald 9, T-Joy Umeda, Yokohama Burg 13 and Midland Square Cinema.

How the franchise got here

Pole Princess!! began as an original net animation: its web series started streaming in December 2022 and is counted as a Winter 2023 title. A theatrical Pole Princess!! Movie followed on November 23, 2023. Both are music and sports stories built around competitive pole dance, and Croix du Nord brings the girls of Galaxy Princess back to the big screen after that film.
