Xiaohei is a cat spirit and the hero of The Legend of Luo Xiaohei. A spirit is a being from nature that can use magic. Xiaohei can change shape and take the form of a small black cat. He once lived in a forest, but humans cut it down and he lost his home. After that he wandered the world, looking for a new place to live.

At first he hated humans for what they did. On his journey he met other spirits, some of whom felt the same way. A human called Infinity (also named Wuxian) took him away. Spending time with this man made Xiaohei doubt his anger. He began to wonder which side he really belonged to.

In the end, he learned to like people. In the sequel, he grows up and becomes the student of Wuxian. The story is about a lonely, angry young spirit who slowly learns to trust others and find a family.
