Anna Akechi

Anna Akechi is an ordinary middle school student with one extraordinary problem: she gets pulled out of her own time, 2027, and sent back to 1999, far from everyone and everything she knows. Transforming into Cure Answer, she has to find her footing in an unfamiliar era while also figuring out why she was sent there in the first place.

What keeps her steady through that disorientation is her character. Anna is honest almost to a fault, unable to tell even a small lie, and she cannot stand by when she sees someone in trouble, even a total stranger from a different time period. That instinct to help is what leads her to Mikuru Kobayashi, a classmate from the past who shares her drive to solve mysteries, and the two quickly become partners rather than strangers from different eras.

Together with Mikuru Kobayashi, Anna investigates cases involving other Cures hiding secret identities, including the pastry chef Kurea Howa and the elusive phantom thief Luluka Moria. Her considerate nature makes her a natural detective, someone who pays attention to people's feelings as closely as she pays attention to the clues, and that balance is what lets her solve mysteries that are about more than just facts.
