Berserk of Gluttony Season 2

Fate Graphite's story is coming back to TV. The second season of Berserk of Gluttony was announced in April 2026 and is planned to start in 2027. Tetsuya Yanagisawa, who directed the first season, now works as chief director, and Kenichi Ishikura is the new director. The first season was made by the studio A.C.G.T. It aired 12 episodes in the fall of 2023, and Crunchyroll streamed it in many countries. The series is based on light novels by Ichika Isshiki, with pictures by the artist fame, and on a manga drawn by Daisuke Takino. Seven Seas Entertainment publishes both in English.

Here is a short reminder of how the story began. Fate lives in a kingdom where everyone is born with a special power called a skill, and your skill decides how people treat you. His skill, Gluttony, looked worthless for years. It only made him hungry, and the nobles he worked for as a gate guard mocked him for it. Then he learned its secret. When Fate defeats someone in battle, Gluttony absorbs that person's skills and makes him stronger. From that moment, he started to climb out of the bottom of society.

The new season begins after Fate has lived through many deadly fights. His partner is still Greed, a talking black sword with a skill of its own. Fate now goes back to the kingdom's capital city, the same place where he was once treated as nothing. This time he returns in a very different role. He has become a Holy Knight, one of the elite warriors who guard the kingdom. That is a big change for someone who used to stand at a gate while nobles laughed at him.

But Fate has not forgotten what it feels like to be poor and ignored. That memory shapes how he sees the nobles and knights around him now. His new rank also brings new danger. The official story description says a bigger battle is waiting for him, and that this fight will move him closer to the hidden truth about how his kingdom and its skills really work. Fans of the novels know that weapons linked to the Seven Deadly Sins are central to the series, and Greed is one of them.

Friends from the first season are part of Fate's world too. Roxy Hart is a young Holy Knight from a noble family. She was kind to Fate when almost nobody else was, and the two grew close. Myne, a fighter with the Wrath skill and a giant axe, and Eris Seifort, who has the Lust skill and her own goals, also stand near Fate as the story grows.

Like the first season, this one should mix action, adventure, drama, and a slow romance. The main question is no longer whether Fate can survive. It is what kind of person he will become now that he holds real power. If you watched the first season, this is the next step in his climb. If you are new, start with season one, since this season builds directly on it.
