Fate Graphite

Fate Graphite grows up in a small village until his father, Dean, dies and the villagers drive him out, blaming him simply for being left alone. Scared and with nowhere to go, Fate wanders until he is taken in by Roxy Heart, a Holy Knight commander who gives him a place to live and work. Fate starts out timid and unsure of himself, too afraid to leave the safety Roxy offers, carrying real guilt over the thought of hurting anyone.

Everything changes when Fate unlocks a strange power called the Gluttony skill, one of several rare Sin abilities in his world. Gluttony lets him devour the skills of anyone he defeats, making him stronger with every fight he survives, but it also pushes him toward violence he does not want. Fate stays protective of innocent people even as this power grows, giving away loot to an orphanage and sparing enemies whenever he can. He is so afraid of losing control to his own hunger that he asks a companion named Myne to kill him if he ever goes truly mad.

Fate's bond with Roxy deepens from simple gratitude into real feelings on both sides, and her calm presence helps keep his Gluttony in check. His connection with Myne becomes almost like family, since both of them carry living weapons tied to the same set of Sin-based curses. Along the way, a childhood bully who once tormented Fate eventually makes amends with him, while a mysterious woman begins following Fate for her own hidden reasons, adding more tension to his already complicated life.
