PSYREN casts Reiko Suzuki and Ayumu Murase as Elmore and Van Tenjuin
Satelight's TV anime of Toshiaki Iwashiro's Weekly Shonen Jump manga added the two names on October 22, ahead of episode 4's broadcast from October 26.
Two more residents of Toshiaki Iwashiro's world now have voices. On October 22 the PSYREN anime's X account confirmed Reiko Suzuki as Elmore Tenjuin and Ayumu Murase as Van Tenjuin, with a still that shows the pair side by side.
Suzuki's long career reaches back to The Rose of Versailles, while Murase's résumé includes Chainsaw Man. They join a cast headed by Riku Yasuda as Ageha Yoshina and Mayuko Kazama as Sakurako Amamiya.
The show is three weeks into its run. It began on October 5 and goes out on Monday nights at 11 on Tokyo MX and BS11, with Sun TV an hour later and Mie TV on Wednesdays. Episode 4 starts broadcasting on October 26: Ageha and Hiryu begin honing their PSI abilities with Amamiya's help, and it emerges that Mochizuki and Kirisaki also hold Psyren cards.
Katsumi Ono, previously behind Skeleton Knight in Another World, directs at Satelight. Shin Yoshida, who wrote Sacred Seven, oversees the scripts, Shiro Okuma handles character designs, and the score is split among three composers, including Takashi Omama of Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury.
The adaptation comes long after the source wrapped up. Iwashiro's manga appeared in Weekly Shonen Jump for about three years until late 2010, and its 16th and last collected book shipped in 2011; VIZ Media published the English edition through 2014. The TV project was first revealed in December 2025.
