Mercedes and the Waning Moon adds Junichi Suwabe, Ai Kayano, Kenta Miyake and Ryunosuke Watanuki in its second PV

Junichi Suwabe, Ai Kayano, Kenta Miyake and Ryunosuke Watanuki are the newest voices in Mercedes and the Waning Moon: The Dungeoneering Feats of a Discarded Vampire Aristocrat. The cast additions arrived on October 30 together with the anime's second promotional video, and the series is still set to premiere in January 2027.

The roles break down as follows: Miyake plays Benkei, Watanuki plays Kuro, Suwabe plays Florian, and Kayano plays Lydia Grunewald. They join Anna Nagase, who was announced earlier as the title character, Mercedes Grunewald. Kayano's recent work includes Though I Am an Inept Villainess, Suwabe's includes Witch Hat Atelier, Watanuki's includes Daemons of the Shadow Realm, and Miyake's includes Hidarikiki no Eren.

A vampire who plans for the worst

Mercedes is reborn as a vampire, the daughter of a noble father and the concubine he keeps at arm's length. She expects to be passed over as heir, and with a mother who has no special talents and a maid who is getting on in years, the household has to look after itself. Dungeon diving is work anyone can take up, children included, so Mercedes starts training while still very young, hoping this second life ends better than the unfulfilled one she left behind.
