Charisma's TV anime sets a January 7 TBS premiere, with a first teaser shown at the franchise's fifth-anniversary event
The Pierrot Films series based on EVIL LINE RECORDS and Dazed's Charisma franchise airs Thursdays on TBS and 28 stations from January 7, 2027. A short anime starts November 4 inside Yoru no Brunch, and episodes 1 and 2 screen in Ikebukuro on December 6.
Seven men under one roof, each chasing his own brand of charisma, finally move to television on Thursday, January 7, 2027. The date and the anime's first footage were unveiled on November 1 at Charismania, the fifth-anniversary event the Charisma franchise held at Toyosu PIT in Tokyo, with day and night shows streamed live for ticket holders.
The teaser trailer gives the first look at the TV series in motion and shows the seven leads going about their chaotic daily routine in the shared house Fumiya Itō arranged for them. The series will air weekly at 23:56 on Thursdays across the TBS network, broadcast simultaneously on 28 stations nationwide.
Something reaches screens before January, though. A short Charisma anime starts on Wednesday, November 4, in the 23:56 slot inside the TBS variety program Yoru no Brunch, and runs weekly. The same day, the seven main voice actors release their theme song, Mitemite Anime no Charisma, as a digital single. The song was written by Gesshoku Kaigi, who also score the series.
Tokyo audiences get an early look on Sunday, December 6, when Ikebukuro HUMAX Cinemas screens the first two episodes in two sessions, with the seven leads scheduled to appear on stage. Lottery presale entries close on November 8.
From music project to TV
Charisma launched in 2021 as a project from EVIL LINE RECORDS and Dazed. The returning leads include Yūki Ono as Fumiya, along with Katsumi Fukuhara, Kenta Hosoda, Genki Okawa and Tomohisa Hashizume. The official site also added two more cast members with this announcement.
Pierrot Films is animating. Matsubara, the franchise's original creator, writes the series composition and the scripts himself, and Haru Watanabe designs the characters for animation and serves as a chief animation director. TBS Television coordinates the production, and EVIL LINE RECORDS handles the music.
