Flora Beltrum

Flora Beltrum is a princess who never lets her royal title get in the way of genuine kindness. As the younger sister of Christina Beltrum, she grows up watching her sibling shoulder the heavier responsibilities of the crown, which leaves Flora freer to focus on the people around her rather than politics, and her warmth earns her real affection from the kingdom's citizens rather than the polite distance many nobles receive.

She attends the same academy as the story's hero, Rio, enrolling a year behind him, and she is one of the few students who notices how unfairly the other nobles treat him because of his background. Rather than looking away, as most of her peers do, she pays attention and quietly admires his skill and composure under pressure, which sets her apart from classmates who only see his low social standing.

What makes Flora especially notable in the story is her sharp memory for people: even after Rio's appearance changes and almost everyone else fails to place him, she recognizes him immediately, a detail that speaks to how closely she was paying attention all along. Her gentle persistence in staying connected to him, alongside her sister and other people in Rio's growing circle such as Celia Claire and Latifa, makes her one of the steadier, kinder presences in a story full of political scheming.
