Ai Miyashita

Ai Miyashita brings an energetic, gyaru-inspired style to the Nijigasaki idol club, pairing a bold fashion sense with surprisingly strong grades as an honor student. She is friendly, goofy, and sociable almost to a fault, the kind of club member who can turn any ordinary afternoon into something fun just by being in the room.

She has a playful habit of making puns on her own name, which happens to mean "love" in Japanese, and that same lighthearted energy carries into most of her friendships. She joined the idol club mainly because she enjoys trying new things, drawn less by any grand dream of stardom and more by simple curiosity about what performing might feel like.

Ai becomes the very first real friend that the shy, face-hiding member Rina Tennouji makes in the club, and that friendship plays a real part in helping Rina slowly open up to everyone else around her. Ai later performs as part of the subunit DiverDiva alongside Karin Asaka, where her upbeat, childish charm gives the pair's performances a distinct, playful energy that stands apart from the club's more serious or elegant members. Even when she teases her friends or jokes around during practice, Ai takes her performances seriously once she's on stage, showing a focus that surprises people who only know her playful side.
