About
In October 2026, a new TV anime was announced for the manga Hiiragi-san Chi no Kyuuketsu Jijou. In English, the manga is called Hiragi-san's House of Vampires. TMS Entertainment will make the anime. No air date, director, or voice cast has been shared yet, so fans are still waiting for the first big news.
The manga is by Miki Yoshikawa and is published by Kodansha. It started as a short one-shot story in Weekly Shonen Magazine on September 11, 2019. A full series began in Bessatsu Shonen Magazine on October 8, 2021, and it is still going. Six books had come out in Japan by November 2025. Yoshikawa also wrote Kakkou no Iinazuke, or A Couple of Cuckoos, which became an anime in 2022. Readers who liked the funny, warm tone of that story may enjoy this one too.
The hero is Shota Minamoto. He is a middle school boy with no parents, and he grows up in a children's home. His life changes when a family decides to take him in. Their home is a big, traditional Japanese house. At first, everything looks perfect. The people there are kind, and Shota slowly relaxes and begins to trust them.
But this family hides something. They are vampires, and they must keep that fact away from everyone outside the house. Shota now lives under the same roof as them, so the secret is very hard to protect. The story uses this idea for both jokes and sweet moments.
The series is a romantic comedy. It is gentle and cozy, because it is about a lonely boy who finally has a place to belong. It also has a dark and bloody edge, as you would expect from a house full of vampires. The big question is what makes a family: blood, or the love people share every day.
Since the anime is new, more facts will come later. For now, it is a good one to watch for if you like vampire stories, family tales, and light romance.
