Laid-Back Camp Season 4 sets an April 2027 premiere, and its main PV introduces first-years Ema and Mei

The fourth season of Afro's camping comedy starts in April 2027. A main PV released on November 6 previews Asaka's opening "Brand New." and Eri Sasaki's ending "Happa no Tegami," and introduces first-year students Ema and Mei.

Nadeshiko, Rin and the rest of the Outdoor Activities Club head back out in April 2027. On November 6 the official website and X account of Laid-Back Camp Season 4 (Yuru Camp△ SEASON 4) fixed the broadcast month and put out a main promotional video together with a main visual. Stations and an exact start date have not been given yet.

The visual gathers eight characters at a campsite. Among them are Ema Mizunami and Mei Nakatsugawa, the two first-year high schoolers the PV introduces while the returning members work out how to bring new students in; both were already on the cast list published in March. The tagline asks "Issho ni itte ii desu ka?", or "Can I come with you?"

The music

The PV previews both theme songs, whose performers were named back in March. Asaka handles the opening, "Brand New.", while Eri Sasaki closes each episode with "Happa no Tegami." Kiminone contributes a separate series theme.

Same leads, a new studio

Production is where Season 4 departs from what came before. C-Station made seasons one and two, and 8bit took over for Season 3 in spring 2024; now FuRyu Pictures is in charge, in its first outing as lead animation studio according to Anime Anime. Direction and scripts carry over from Season 3, with Shin Tosaka back in the director's chair and Pierre Sugiura again on series composition. Character designs pass from Hisanori Hashimoto to Ryuta Ura. Akiyuki Tateyama, who has written the score for every earlier entry, stays on music, and Takeshi Takadera is sound director. MyAnimeList's staff list adds Masatoshi Mutou as art director, Kouichi Motomura on cooking design and Masaki Inada on prop design.

Nobody in the voice cast has changed. Yumiri Hanamori is Nadeshiko Kagamihara and Nao Toyama is Rin Shima; Sayuri Hara plays Chiaki Ogaki, Aki Toyosaki plays Aoi Inuyama and Rie Takahashi plays Ena Saito. Tomoyo Kurosawa is back as Ayano Toki, Nadeshiko's childhood friend, and Akio Otsuka narrates.

How it got here

The first Laid-Back Camp TV series aired in the Winter 2018 season and is credited in Japan with setting off a camping boom. A second season followed in 2021 and a feature film in 2022, before Season 3 in 2024. A fourth season was first announced at an event in November 2024; the March 2, 2026 update confirmed a 2027 broadcast with a teaser PV, the new studio and the theme song artists. Crunchyroll carries earlier seasons in many regions, though no streaming partner has been named for Season 4.

Afro started the manga in Manga Time Kirara Forward in 2015, and Houbunsha moved it to its COMIC FUZ app in 2019; the 19th volume came out on October 9. In July 2026, Anime Corner reported that the manga and Afro's other series, mono, had gone on hiatus because of the author's health.
