Nick Hoult

This is a new chapter of All Saints Street, known in Chinese as Wan Sheng Jie. It is a popular Chinese comedy cartoon. Chinese animation like this is often called donghua. The story began as a webcomic by the artist Lingzi, which has been posted on the site Bilibili since 2016. The comic became a big hit, and Tencent Video later turned it into an animated show. Four earlier seasons came out between 2020 and 2023, each with 12 short episodes. By 2022 the show had passed 200 million views on Tencent Video, and Crunchyroll has also carried it with a Japanese voice track. The world of All Saints Street looks like our modern Earth, but humans share it with gods, monsters, and demons. The main hero is Neil Bowman, a young demon who leaves his home to try life in the human world. He rents a room in apartment 1031, where his roommates are just as odd as he is. Ira Blood is a vampire. Vladimir Kirilenko is a big, friendly werewolf. Their landlord, Lynn Angel, is a real angel who also works as an English teacher. Lynn's sister Lily Angel and Neil's half-brother, Nick Hoult, are also part of the group. Most of the fun comes from everyday problems. These monsters have scary powers, but they still have to pay bills, clean the flat, shop for cheap food, and put up with each other's bad habits. The jokes come quickly, and each episode is short, so the show is easy to watch in small bites. Under the jokes, it is a warm story about a group of misfits who slowly become a kind of family. In this new part, the title points to a secret hidden in an old castle. The roommates are pulled toward it, and their quiet home life turns into something more dangerous than usual. The group will have to stay close and look after one another. Full plot details for this chapter have not been widely shared yet, so this overview keeps to the setup. The show is a mix of comedy, fantasy, and slice of life, which means a story about daily life.
