Naruto Uzumaki

Naruto Uzumaki is the hero of his own story, a loud, stubborn boy who grows into the leader of his home village. By the end of his journey he becomes the Seventh Hokage, the person in charge of protecting everyone who once looked down on him, and he later appears as an adult in a follow-up series about his own son.

As a child, Naruto had no parents to raise him, and a dangerous nine-tailed fox spirit was sealed inside his body at birth to keep it from destroying his village. Because of this, most villagers feared and avoided him, so he acted out as a class clown and troublemaker just to be noticed. Underneath the noise, though, he never stopped believing that hard work and kindness could change how people saw him, and that belief slowly wins his village's respect. He is simple-hearted and sometimes acts before he thinks, but his honesty and refusal to give up on anyone, even his enemies, become his greatest strengths.

His found family shapes him as much as his blood relatives do. His parents died protecting him the night the fox was sealed away, so the ninja Jiraiya becomes a godfather figure who trains him and teaches him some of his most powerful moves before dying in battle. His bond with Sasuke Uchiha starts as rivalry, turns into heartbreak when Sasuke leaves the village, and eventually becomes a true friendship again after their final battle. Sakura Haruno is his teammate and an early crush who grows into a devoted friend, while Hinata Hyuuga, who quietly admired him for years, eventually becomes his wife.
