Kohaku Ichimura is one of the two students nicknamed 'Prince' at his school, admired by many of his female classmates for his striking looks and rumored wealth. When he first meets his underclassman, Yoi Takiguchi, he mistakes her for a boy because of her tall build and deep voice, the same misunderstanding most people make about her.

Once Kohaku realizes his mistake, his interest in Yoi does not fade, it grows. He is confident and does not give up easily, and he makes a deliberate effort to get closer to her rather than simply walking away once he learns the truth. Unlike most people at school, Kohaku seems to notice a side of Yoi that nobody else bothers to look for, which is part of why she slowly starts letting her guard down around him.

Kohaku proposes an unusual idea: that Yoi try dating him as a kind of experiment, just to see what happens. She turns him down at first, uneasy about the idea, but eventually agrees. From there, the two begin a cautious, often awkward relationship, each of them slowly revealing the parts of themselves that their 'Prince' reputations usually hide from everyone else.

In the Clear Moonlit Dusk is the English title of Uruwashi no Yoi no Tsuki. It is a gentle high school romance. It comes from a shoujo manga by Mika Yamamori. (Shoujo means comics made mainly for teenage girls.) The manga began in Kodansha's Dessert magazine in July 2020. Kodansha USA publishes it in English. The TV anime has 12 episodes and aired on TBS from January 11 to March 29, 2026. East Fish Studio and Atelier Peuplier animated it, and Yusuke Maruyama directed it. Crunchyroll streams the show, with both Japanese audio and an English dub. The main character is Yoi Takiguchi, a first-year high school student. She is tall and has long legs and a low voice. Many people take her for a good-looking boy. Since she was young, classmates have called her "Prince." Girls cheer for her. Boys treat her like one of the guys. Few people ever stop to ask how she actually feels. Under the cool image, Yoi is not comfortable with the way others see her. That changes when she meets Kohaku Ichimura. He is an older student at the same school. People say he comes from a rich family. He is also called a "prince," but he is the boy kind. Kohaku is the first person who seems to see the real Yoi, not just her looks. He starts to like her, and he tells her so. Yoi has never been in this position before. She does not know how to react to being treated like a girl someone wants to date. After some back-and-forth, she agrees to try dating him for a while, to see how it goes. The story follows the two of them as they slowly show each other who they really are. The show is calm and warm. It is about first love, but it is also about how people judge each other by appearance. Both leads are "princes" in the eyes of others, and both feel a little trapped by that image. Their friends, such as Nobara Tone and Kotobuki Hibiya, add fun and support. The pace is slow and soft, and the mood is often relaxing. Fans of this kind of quiet, healing story will feel at home. The manga has done very well with critics. It was ranked fourth for female readers in the 2022 Kono Manga ga Sugoi! guide, a well-known yearly list in Japan. It won the Grand Prize at the 2023 ebookjapan Manga Awards. It has also been nominated several times for the Kodansha Manga Award. Reviewers praised its characters, its relatable story, and its clean art. The anime used two songs by the band Unison Square Garden: "Uruwashi" for the opening and "Azalea no Kaze" for the ending. The story also became a live-action film, released in Japan on October 23, 2026.
