Kazuya Miyuki is the starting catcher for Seidou High School's baseball team and, by his second year, already one of the most respected players on the squad. His talent was spotted years earlier, while he was still in junior high, by a scout who recognized his sharp baseball instincts right away.
What makes Miyuki stand out is not just his strong arm and quick reflexes behind the plate, but his analytical mind. He studies batters carefully, calls pitches that exploit their weaknesses, and stays calm and easygoing even in tense games, which lets him guide pitchers who are far more nervous than he is.
That skill becomes especially important in his partnership with Eijun Sawamura, an energetic but unpolished first-year pitcher with an unusual throwing motion. Miyuki pushes Sawamura hard, sometimes through teasing and sharp words, because he sees real potential underneath the rough technique. Their pitching-and-catching partnership becomes one of the team's biggest strengths. Alongside teammates like Haruichi Kominato and Youichi Kuramochi, Miyuki helps lead Seidou's effort to reach the national championship, using his sharp mind as much as his physical skill to outthink the other team.

Ace of Diamond act II: Second Season Part 2 is the next stretch of one of the longest-running baseball anime. It begins on TV Tokyo on October 11, 2026. It follows straight on from Part 1, which aired from April to June 2026. This new season is made by the studio OLM, with Hideaki Oba as director. Earlier parts of the anime were made by Madhouse, together with Production I.G for the first series. The story comes from the manga by Yuji Terajima. The first manga ran in Weekly Shonen Magazine from 2006 to 2015 and filled 47 volumes. Its sequel, Ace of Diamond act II, ran from 2015 to 2022 in 34 more volumes. The anime has already covered a lot of this tale. The first series had 126 episodes from 2013 to 2016, and act II had 52 episodes from 2019 to 2020. After a long break, the show came back in 2026. The hero is Eijun Sawamura. He is a loud, cheerful pitcher with a strange throwing style. His pitches move in odd ways that batters find hard to hit. A scout invited him from the countryside to Seido High School in Tokyo, a famous school for baseball. There he joined a huge team full of talented players. Everyone wants to play, and only a few can be stars. The most important person for Sawamura is Kazuya Miyuki. Miyuki is the team's catcher, the player who crouches behind home plate and helps the pitcher choose each throw. He is brilliant and a bit of a tease. The bond between a pitcher and a catcher is central to the show. Sawamura also has rivals and friends on the team, like the quiet power pitcher Satoru Furuya and the gentle batter Haruichi Kominato. They push each other to get better. The big goal for every team in the show is Koshien. This is the national high school baseball tournament in Japan, held at Koshien Stadium. For Japanese students it is a huge dream, a bit like a national championship that the whole country watches. In act II, Sawamura and his teammates keep fighting for the ace spot and for a chance to reach that stage. Ace of Diamond is known for its slow, careful look at the sport. It shows long games pitch by pitch, the thinking behind each play, and the hard practice that happens off the field. It also takes time with a big cast of players, coaches, and rival schools. Part 2 is the second half of this season, so it is best watched after Part 1 and the earlier series.
