Hathaway Noa

Hathaway Noa is the son of Bright Noa and Mirai Yashima, two people closely tied to the Earth Federation's military history, and he first appears as a side character in an earlier series before growing into the central figure of his own story years later. As a young man, he falls deeply for a girl named Quess Paraya, and her death in battle becomes the single event that shapes everything he does afterward.

By the time his own film trilogy begins, Hathaway has grown into a gifted pilot, hopeful and idealistic in a way that makes him believe real change is still possible, even though that same idealism can tip into frustration whenever people get in his way. What almost nobody around him knows is that he secretly leads a group called Mafty under the alias Mafty Navue Erin, carrying out targeted attacks against corrupt Federation officials as a twisted way of honoring Quess's memory.

Aboard a shuttle bound for Hong Kong, he meets Gigi Andalucia, a woman whose presence stirs up old feelings connected to his lost love. Piloting the advanced mobile suit known as the Xi Gundam, Hathaway spends his story caught between his genuine hope for a better world and the violent, secretive path he's chosen to try to reach it.
