Gigi Andalucia

Gigi Andalucia first appears aboard a shuttle bound for Hong Kong, and almost everyone around her seems drawn to her, whether out of attraction, jealousy, or simple curiosity about where she really comes from. Her origins and the real purpose of her travel stay deliberately mysterious, though her refined manner and the fact that a powerful, unnamed sponsor backs her trip hint that she's connected to serious money and influence.

She is unusually direct about her own feelings in a world full of people hiding theirs, and that openness is part of what makes her bewitching to the men around her and sets off jealousy in other women. She lives as the companion of a wealthy insurance tycoon, a gilded but constrained position that depends entirely on how much he values her striking intuition, which borders on the prophetic.

Aboard that same shuttle, she meets Hathaway Noa, and the two quickly grow close, with Gigi stirring up memories of a woman Hathaway lost years earlier. She becomes fascinated by the mysterious leader of an anti-Federation group called Mafty, unaware at first how close that connection runs to the man she's falling for. After a failed attack by Mafty's forces in Australia, Gigi relocates to Kyushu alongside her friend Kenneth Sleg, stepping away from the dangerous orbit she had been circling.
