Hae-In Cha

Cha Hae-In stands among the ten best registered fighters in all of South Korea, a small circle known for incredible combat skill. She helps run a major hunting organization, working as the right hand to its top leader and taking charge whenever tough calls need to be made. Trained under a master swordsman, she fights with a blade rather than magic, and few people doubt her skill once they see her in action.

Her defining quirk shapes nearly everything about how she treats people: she can smell other fighters, and to her nose almost every one of them smells awful, so she keeps most people at arm's length and comes across as cold or unfriendly. The single exception to that rule is Jin-U Seong, whose scent never bothers her at all, a small mystery that quietly pulls her toward him long before either of them understands why.

As the two of them keep running into each other on dangerous jobs, that early curiosity turns into real trust, then affection, and eventually marriage. Behind her guarded manner, Hae-In genuinely wants to keep ordinary people safe from monster attacks, and that goal is a big part of why she never stops trying to get stronger, even after reaching the top of her field.
