I'm Dating a Dark Summoner

I'm Dating a Dark Summoner is a short-form fantasy romantic comedy for adults. Each episode is only a few minutes long. It premieres on October 5, 2026, on Tokyo MX and BS11 in Japan. It is made by studio AtoriE, with help from Nyan Pollution-ω-, and Seiya Miyajima directs and writes it. It is part of Deregula, a label from the company WWWave that makes anime with fewer limits on adult content. The uncut version streams on the AnimeFesta service in Japan, and in North America Sentai Filmworks streams it on HIDIVE. The voice cast includes Rei Takano as Amona, Yuki Nishiyama as Roni, and Senmai Hodentei as the Imp.

The anime is based on a manga written and drawn by Shaoh. It began in November 2021 under Fujimi Shobo's Dra Dra Sharp label and had seven volumes by March 2026.

The story takes place in a classic fantasy world with an adventuring party, a team of heroes who travel and fight monsters together. Two members of the team seem like complete opposites. Amona is a dark summoner, a magic user who calls up creatures and uses demon-based powers. Roni is a priest, a holy man who serves the gods. He is very serious and follows the rules closely. On paper, a demon summoner and a priest should be natural enemies.

Instead, the two end up spending a night together. What was supposed to be one time keeps happening again and again. Now they are in a secret, undefined relationship. They must hide it from the rest of their party, and they both keep telling themselves it does not mean anything, even as their real feelings grow. Making things worse is a small imp, a mischievous little demon, who is far too interested in their love life and loves to stir up trouble.

The humor comes from the clash between Amona's dark, confident style and Roni's stiff, proper personality, and from their constant efforts to keep their secret. This is an "enemies to lovers" story, where two people who should dislike each other slowly fall in love.

Because of its sexual humor and nudity, it is intended for adult viewers only. Fans of short, cheeky romantic comedies with a fantasy setting may enjoy it.
